I designed the user manual for a wall-mount device that contains a camera and a screen. The user manual lists the components included in the package and an installation tutorial. I build a model in SketchUp to get every angle to present the detail of each port and cable.
In 2021 we decided to build a van box because we planned to go on a road trip in the summer. Having a 3D mockup is great for a collaboration like this because we can apply the exact number of sizes while trying as many crazy ideas as we wish and, in the meantime, ensure everyone is on the same page.
To be able to cook on our trip, I design this kitchen drawer to make a secure platform for the gas stove. The drawer height is set based on the size of the gas stove, and with a hole drilled on the surface board, the gas stove will be able to stay still while we cook. The two standing walls where I fixed the drawer rails play as good support for the van box. So the surface of the box can then support more weight without bent.
